The Winter of 2018 saw the opening of a gorgeous "Bombay Café" in Manchester's former Freemason's Hall by the much-loved Dishoom Restaurants. The venue pays homage to the old Irani cafés of Bombay during their peak in the 1960s, featuring original characteristics which have inspired the overall restaurant theme and interior design.
The two dining rooms and Permit Room cocktail bar were furnished with iconic hospitality furniture of the 1960s, with many original, restored furniture pieces and artefacts put to good use.
We’re pleased to have been involved in this project, with the furniture in this venue selected from a number of our traditional furniture ranges, as well as some bespoke restaurant furniture and antique and reclaimed pieces, which were key in forming the unique interior design. Like many of our projects, iconic bar furniture features, including Bentwood High Stools, Bentwood Open Back Fully Upholstered Dining Chairs were also used along with our own Unique Cast Iron Table Bases combined with Marble Table Tops to provide solid dining furniture, designed specifically for hospitality venues that demand a high-quality finish.
