Venue: Fox & Hounds, Barnston | Stange & Co
The Fox and Hounds in Barnston offers the charm of a country pub located in a beautiful conservation village. Reopening in November 2018, the venue saw a refurbishment to deliver a customer experience close to the venue's roots from the early 1900s.
The experience remains true to the core values of Strange & Co; real pubs, wholesome, fresh homemade food and local ales offered in a cosy, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The venue has retained many of its architectural features from its rebuild in 1911, and today offers that tradition of separate lounge and bar areas alongside a hearty homemade menu, served throughout the week.
There is no doubt that the interior design delivers on the brief, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere in a homely and relaxing pub. This has been achieved through careful selection of furniture boasting classic pub furniture design, combined with selected antique pieces to add unique touches throughout.
Furniture in this project includes pub dining chairs you would expect to find in high quality, traditional pub interiors, including the Heals Dining Chair and Brocton Dining Chair from our collection of hardwood contract dining chairs. The bar area also features Taylor’s Classics furniture, including the Scottish Bar Stool made from solid oak, which is perfect for hospitality venues looking for solid, high-quality bar seating. Traditional pub and dining tables also feature throughout, combined with Antique Pub Tables supplied from our stock of Antique and Reclaimed Pub Furniture to create a truly unique look, creating a more interesting interior offering that British pub heritage feel.
