Venue: Ambulo, Sheffield
Ambulo all-day café opened in early 2019 at two historic sites in Sheffield, with one at the Millennium Gallery and a second at Weston Park. The all-day dining concept creates a light and friendly atmosphere, perfect for all the family to enjoy fine food and speciality coffee. The customer experience is modelled on the vision of the founders, achieved through the concept and interior design inspired by café culture from around the world.
The interior makes use of some iconic café furniture pieces, with the design typically seen throughout Europe since the late 1800s, and still used in many iconic café interiors today. The finish applied here gives the venue a clean, bright and welcoming feel, with classic style fused with modern clean lines.
Taylor’s Classics were asked to supply the venues’ seating, and Thonet Bentwood chairs made the perfect addition. As seen in the photos above, the pieces included are the Bentwood Number 14 Polished Bowback Chair, and the Bentwood Number 134 Bowback High Stool, all of which were finished in B.20 White.
