Description

This is a superb quality oak framed gentlemen’s armchair, circa 1840. The frame is great quality, the wood is very much like pollard oak, the frame has some lovely detailing such as: the supports under the arms, the shaped legs at the front, the subtle carving on the cresting rail at the back of the chair, the front of the seat is slightly forward and the kick out on the back of the legs. The castors on the front & back legs are not original.

The present upholstery is a lovely soft leather, which has been on the chair for many years, the consequence of which it has a lovely used, homely ‘come and sit on me’ feel.

Please note the price shown here is for the chair in its present condition however we will wax it up and check it over.
